NEWS: "Go, Go, Go Joseph!"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Returns To London P

Jac Yarrow and cast

The recent revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Time Rice's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will be welcomed back to London's West End this summer. The show will return to the London Palladium Theatre for 10 weeks only from July 2, 2020 through September 6. The musical played to sold-out audiences for an 11 week engagement this past summer and was one of the hottest tickets in town.

Returning to the show are Jac Yarrow in the title role and Jason Donovan as Pharaoh. Donovan is most notably known for starring in the 1991 West End production as Joseph, and Yarrow is making history as the youngest Joseph in London or Broadway history at 21 years old. The show has also made a star out of newcomer Yarrow who is in his final year at London's Art and Educational Schools.

Olivier Award winner Sheridan Smith was also in the summer 2019 production as the Narrator. Casting for the Narrator and the rest of the cast for the 2020 production has not been announced yet.

2019 marks the 40th anniversary for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat which was Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's first musical. A Broadway revival is in the works and has been said to be coming in 2021. In February 2020, the show will have a one-night-only concert staging at David Geffen Hall with Ari'el Stachel in the title role. For tickets to that concert staging click here.

This recent revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat had choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter, sets and costumes by Morgan Large, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, and sound design by Gareth Owen. Michael Harrison and The Really Useful Group are producers on the show.
