Many of you have asked what I use on my skin and what my routine is in the morning, so I thought I would share it with you. Even in the pandemic and virtual world we are in, it's essential to look your best, especially with all these ZOOMS. I know you are probably asking, "why does it matter we aren't seeing anyone in person? They can't notice if I have makeup or cosmetics on me?" Maybe they do, perhaps they don't, but you still want to try and look your best even in that long "this could have been an email" meeting. Haha!
Anyway, let's get into it!
Every morning when I shower, I start by using an Exfoliating Cleanser. In my case, I use the Counterman Daily Exfoliating Cleanser from Beautycounter. Anywho! I use very little of the Counterman Daily Exfoliating Cleanser, mainly because these products last a while and a little goes a LONG way--believe me, it took me time to get used to this! I apply it all over my face (and sometimes my neck) and leave it on for about a minute before rinsing it off.
A quick side note-- You don't have to use every product, but you will see the best result if you can try to stick to this order: Cleanser, Toner, Serums, Eye Cream, Spot Treatments, Moisturizer, Face Oil, and Sunscreen.
Below is my routine with photos and descriptions on why I use and like them.
Countermatch Intense Moisture Serum- This serum is sooooo nice and super lightweight. I apply the moisture serum after I shower and start on my daily skincare routine. I let this sit for about 30 seconds to a minute before moving onto the next step.
Vitamin C Serum- On occasion, I put this over top of the Countermatch, but you can use the Vitamin C Serum only if you prefer--it makes you glow and is a multi-award winner and one of their best-sellers!
Counterman Oil-Free Face Lotion- This is one of my all-time favorite products because I love the feeling of the lotion. It's not thick, it doesn't run, and it's got a very light scent to it. It's also very sleek and sexy packaging!
Countersun Mineral Sunscreen- I HATE the smell of sunscreen and the feeling of it. I don't like the texture, the scent, and the "stickiness" you usually get. But that's not the case with the Countersun Mineral Sunscreen Lotion at all. It rubs in easily, it doesn't leave the white spots on your face, the smell (which is a light citrus scent) is perfect and not overpowering, and I don't even know that I have it on because it is so light!
A few months ago, at my dermatologist, I learned that it was a MUST to use sunscreen daily. While I sighed and huffed, I am so happy that I found a sunscreen that I LOVE.
